The Dream of Renewed Community Spaces at St. Paul’s Church
A Place to Belong: A Vision for St. Paul’s
On any given day, there are people in our community quietly searching for something many of us take for granted—a place to belong.
A teenager looking for a safe space after school.
A family hoping to find connection in a busy, disconnected world.
A neighbor longing for warmth, conversation, and a sense of being known.
At St. Paul’s, we believe the Church is called to be that place.
Because at the heart of who we are is a simple but powerful vision:
to build a world that is just, compassionate, loving, and kind.
And we live that vision through a calling that guides everything we do:
to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the heart of our community.
From Vision to Action
Being the hands and feet of Jesus isn’t abstract. It’s deeply practical.
It looks like showing up.
It looks like welcoming others in.
It looks like creating spaces where people feel safe, valued, and loved.
Over the past several years, we have seen what’s possible when we do just that.
Our children and youth programs are growing—filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful connection. Young people are not only learning about faith; they are experiencing community in ways that shape who they are becoming.

And yet, we are also seeing a clear and urgent need:
we simply don’t have enough space to fully welcome all who are seeking it.
Imagining What Could Be
Now, imagine something more.
Imagine walking into a space that feels warm, open, and alive.
A place where youth gather after school, not because they have to—but because they want to.
A place where meals are shared, stories are told, and friendships are formed.
A place where no one feels like an outsider.
This is the future we are creating through the renovation of our parish hall.

Creating a Space for Community
We are transforming our lower hall into a safe, welcoming, and vibrant community space—a place where our mission comes to life in tangible ways.
Here, we will:
Offer a safe haven for young people
Host gatherings that bring people together across generations
Create opportunities for connection, joy, and support
Open our doors wider to those who need a place to land

This is more than a construction project.
It is a commitment—to our youth, to our neighbors, and to the future of our community.

An Invitation
Every welcoming space begins with a simple act: someone choosing to make it possible.
We invite you to be part of this story.
Your gift will help create a place where lives are changed—not in grand, distant ways, but in the quiet, meaningful moments that matter most. A conversation. A shared meal. A young person who feels safe. A neighbor who no longer feels alone.
Together, we can bring our vision to life.
Together, we can build not just a space—but a community that reflects God’s love in real and lasting ways.
We would love to speak with you about how you can become part of this story. Reach out to Nancy Twinem or Rev. Tuesday to learn more!
