  • At St. Paul’s, our Church School class for kids in Grades 1-6 takes place Sundays at 10 am during the program year (September to June.) Lead by our dedicated 2025-2026 Teaching Team, our children start in the Classroom (found off of our Parish Hall, please be sure to sign-in any kids you are bringing to class), engage with prayer, scripture, activities, & more, before they rejoin the congregation in the church around 10:45, prior to Holy Communion. *Note: Once a month we have an Intergenerational Service where people of all ages & stages are encouraged to stay for the service (see details in the worship section below & check our Calendar for the Intergen Service Schedule, along with all our special events.) To learn more, please contact our Church School Coordinator Hannah Berg, office@stpaulswoodbury.org. Interested? Please click on the registration button above to get started!

  • For children kindergarten and younger we offer our nursery, equipped with a changing table and rocking chair, new toys and books, and basic cleaning supplies to support the needs of  parents and young children.

During our program year we offer free, professional care, every Sunday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the nursery off of the Parish Hall for ages 0-5. Thank you to Nicole, our warm and caring childcare professional from WeeCare Nanny Service.

  • Youth in Middle School and High School meet monthly on the first and third Wednesdays at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Dinner (free!), games, conversation, connection. Friends are welcome. Drop off at 6 pm, pick up 8:00-8:15 pm

Please contact youth and young adult minister Deb Tickell at youth@stpaulswoodbury.org for more information and to share any food sensitivities/allergies -- we'll make sure to have a dinner everyone can enjoy!

  • For as long as people have been worshipping in churches, there have been acolytes who prepared these sacred spaces and assisted the clergy before, during and after the services. The word acolyte comes from the Greek word for follower – akolouthos

Serving as an acolyte is a great way to feel connected to worship and offer an important gift as a liturgical assistant. It is our desire to meet our youth where they are and offer inclusive, positive opportunities for each of them based on their interest and abilities.

Contact Bart Geissinger, (845) 389-7371 or bgeissinger@episcopalct.org, to get involved.

  • The Children’s Choir offers a fun, accessible way for younger members (grades k-12) to participate in worship and engage their faith through song. To learn more or sign up, contact Kristin Daigneault, Director of Traditional Music. (Does your child love music, but not singing? We have talented young people who over the years have enriched our worship through musical instrumentation, e.g. guitar, flute, violin, let Kristin know if your child is interested in the possibility.)

Our Children’s Choir sings during 10 am worship, typically once each month (which does not conflict with Church School participation) and for special occasions such as our beloved Christmas Eve Pageant. Director Kristin guides our children to foster an encouraging, low pressure environment. There is no fee to join and rehearsals are conveniently scheduled to take place a couple times per month before Sunday morning service at 9:15 am (during Rector’s Forum) – perfect for busy families!

Now entering its second year, St. Paul’s Children’s Choir is an opportunity for kids to grow their skill and confidence in music, foster teamwork, and deepen their connection to our church and to God. The group is open to all kids grades k-12; those uncertain about joining are encouraged to give it a try – talk to Kristin (who can be found playing the organ every Sunday morning where she is church organist and Director of Traditional Music, as well as the director of both our choirs) or get in touch via email: kldaigneault42@gmail.com.

  • Young people are our greatest blessing, and are always welcome in worship at St. Paul’s. There are activity bags in the narthex called Busy Bags which are regularly stocked with coloring pages, crayons, and other quiet activities for use during church. We also offer Sermon Notes worksheets - great for all ages!

At St. Paul’s Rev. Tuesday leads monthly Intergenerational Worship Services, where our sermon is tailored to engage children and adults alike and our younger parishioners often lead worship as greeters, lectors and intercessors, and acolytes. To learn more about Intergenerational Worship contact Rev. Tuesday at rector@stpaulswoodbury.org. To get involved with Youth Acolytes please contact lay-coordinator Bart Geissinger, (845) 389-7371 or bgeissinger@episcopalct.org.
