Word & Spirit Book Club June 1st: Monk & Robot

Join us for the last Word & Spirit book club meeting before summer break. We will be discussing The Monk & Robot books, A Psalm for the Wild-Built and A Prayer for the Crown-Shy. This two-novella science fiction series by Becky Chambers features a tea monk named Sibling Dex and a robot named Mosscap on a journey of self-discovery and philosophical conversation in a post-scarcity world. The books explore themes of purpose, humanity, technology, and environmentalism through the gentle, hopeful interactions between the two main characters. 

Word & Spirit is a book group that uses fiction as a way to gain insights into the spiritual lives of others as well as ourselves.
