Love your neighbor.

Yard sign that says Love your neighbor next to a Progress Pride flag. A church and free standing food pantry are in the background.

Maybe you’ve seen these signs popping up in front of our church and elsewhere in our community. Their message is simple: Love your neighbor. Members of the Woodbury Clericus and Southbury Interfaith Clergy Group are united in our belief that this message - fundamental to nearly every religion worldwide - is now more important than ever. Hateful language and violent actions leave many of us feeling angry, divided, and lonely. Recognizing our common humanity - the divine spark in each and every person - is at the core of a vibrant and healthy community. "Love your neighbor" means treating one another with dignity and respect, even in disagreement. It means standing up for one another against bullying actions. It means taking care of each other in many and various ways.

These signs are free to anyone who would like to display one (and take one to share with a friend!) You can pick them up in the narthex (opening area) of St. Paul's Church.

If you would like to make a donation to help cover the cost of printing the signs, click this link: https://www.stpaulswoodbury.org/give

PS: Feel free to share a picture of your sign on social media using our hashtag:
