Ash Wednesday

“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” - Genesis 3:19

Wednesday, February 18th: 7:30 am Ashes to Go - 8:00 am spoken Eucharist - 7:00 pm Eucharist with music

We begin the season of Lent, a time of penitence, fasting, and self-reflection with Ash Wednesday. The observance of a Holy Lent begins with prayers, confession, scripture, songs, and the imposition of ashes. This ancient custom has become a symbol of our mortality, a reminder to focus on the things that matter most, and a sign of our willingness to be honest with God and ourselves.

St. Paul’s offers Ashes-to-Go on the southbound side of 294 Main Street South from 7:30 am-9:00 am. Drivers may either come out to the sidewalk or remain in their vehicles to receive the imposition of ashes from one of our ministers.

Blessings to you for a Holy Lent.
